3 security best practices for business continuity

No question, the pandemic has stress-tested every business continuity plan ever created — especially security strategies. Hackers are finding more opportunities to attack networks while businesses are consumed with changing their operating models and supporting a distributed workforce.

Having the right security strategy and solutions in place to prevent crippling data breaches and cyberattacks is a critical part of ensuring your company is ready for the next unforeseen challenge. Here are some basic security best practices to consider as part of your business continuity plan:

Use multi-layer protection: Taking a layered approach to security typically involves having protection measures at the system, network, application and device levels, which makes it much harder for attackers to wreak havoc.
