How E-rate funding supports K-12 school district capacity building as well as connectivity

Increasingly, many school districts are relying upon a mix of different funding sources to support their technology infrastructure including title 1 funds, donations from education foundations, designated set-asides from general funds and E-rate dollars. In this report, we examine the profile of school districts that are using E-rate funds to support their technology. We share the current state of education technology usage in those school districts and their plans for expanding their digital initiatives. This report provides a new and unbiased analysis of the impact of E-rate funding on district activities and plans.
