Oxnard Union High School District Uses Fiber as the Foundation for Its “Blueprint of Greatness”

" We wanted to build a foundation for supporting all our applications, current and future. That’s why we went with Time Warner Cable Business Class (Time Warner Cable Business Class is now Spectrum Enterprise). They are able to provide us a cost-effective solution. That is a major game-changer for us. "

With eight schools serving more than 16,000 students, the Oxnard Union High School District (OUHSD) has established a “Blueprint for Greatness” for improving students’ achievement and preparing them to become life-long learners. With help from E-rate funds, OUHSD is building the technology foundation for that blueprint that will enable the district to leverage new solutions not just in its schools, but with portals so parents and students can access applications, learning materials, grades and attendance records from anywhere.

Opening the door to anytime, anywhere teaching and learning

The robust fiber network provided by Spectrum Enterprise supports high-density WiFi connectivity in OUHSD schools critical in helping the district move toward a BYOD (bring your own device) policy. Guided by its “Blueprint for Greatness”, OUHSD will ultimately extend WiFi connectivity across the community for a seamless Internet transition from schools to home networks.

The Spectrum Enterprise solution is proving to be a winning combination: helping OUHSD leverage the richness of multimedia learning while keeping the cost of ownership affordable.

Can insights from Oxnard’s partnership with Spectrum Enterprise enhance your own success story?
